what does doing what you can look like

Doing what you can training wise is a tough pill to swallow. If youre already at the injury point, you've probably had the bad touch questions swelling in your brain.

Is this the best I can do?
Am i going to lose everything I've worked for?
Am i just too old?

No, no, and no!

Unless you are training to be some sort of athlete with specific goals, who fucking cares. Ive been able to recover and thrive after every injury. The goal while youre hurt is as follows:
1)work on recovery.
2)train what you can.

Work on recovery
This is going to mean something different for everyone and every injury. Dont leave recovery to chance! This means getting blow flow and movement to something that doesnt want to move. Never work through pain or numbness! Trying to Barbarian your way through a problem isn't a winning strategy. Ignoring the problem is necessary early on, but detrimental long term.

Train what you can
The whole point of today's post. For the past 8 months, my stomach has been a mess. Turns out when your core is fucked, everything is fucked. Good times.

What doesnt need my core to work?
- backward sled drags
- glute thrusts
- neck strength and mobility
- Wrist and forearm strength and mobility
- calf raises

Is this a solid training program? Fuck no lol. But when im at the other side of this problem ill have stronger knees, glutes, hips, and neck. All things that have caused other issues in the past. Even though the general everything else is lagging, I've insulated future me against other problems.
